README

ProcessTemplateEditor

This module let's you edit template files and preview assets in the templates folder directly in the backend.

For ProcessWire 2.5+

This module adds a new page as child of setup called "Template Editor". It allows you to change text files and preview image, audio and video files. Additionally it has "tab" support so it's easier for you to change your codes.

A nice addition for this module is AdminHotKeys which allows you e.g. to use CTRL+S for saving the file.

Todo (until 2.0.0)

  • add new file
  • show URLs to files

    Hint:
    the template file editor works only if the fileinfo php extension is active - if you're running xampp on windows it is deactivated - you have to activate the fileinfo extension in the php.ini:
    extension=php_fileinfo.dll

    ...else you will get an undefined PHP function error.

      Hey,

      I haven't tried it but I guess it should work. You can just try it and maybe let me know afterwards :)

      Thanks,
      Nico

        Nico,

        I just tried it in version 3.0.61 and seemed to work just fine.

        Thanks for the module!
